Grace Anglican's Ministry of Compassion to Those in Need

“Is this not the fast that I choose… to share your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless into your house; when you see the naked, to cover him…then shall your light break forth like the dawn.” Isaiah 58:5a, 6-8

We believe that God calls His people to serve the poor and anyone in need while seeking the Lord's guidance on how to “...do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly before God.” (Micah 6:8).

Our mission is to humbly serve as a beacon of God's love, allowing His light within us to guide and empower us to accomplish the good works that God has prepared for us in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:10) enabling those works to lead others back to their source: God Himself.

Belief

Rooting our actions in scripture and in the life and teachings of Jesus Christ to inspire and empower our works of love for people (Ephesians 5:1-2, Hebrews 11:6, 13:16)

Empathy

Cultivating compassionate and humble hearts to truly understand and meet our neighbors' spiritual and practical needs (Leviticus 19:18, Matthew 22:39).

Action

Bringing faith to life by actively engaging in local outreach, providing resources, and encouraging acts of kindness within our communities (Proverbs 21:21, James 2:17-20, Romans 2:13, Matthew 7:24–27)

Community

Building strong, supportive relationships with the people we serve in Jesus’ name (1Thessalonians 2:8)

Outreach

Reaching within and beyond our walls to touch lives, offer assistance, and spread the message of God's love through acts of gracious compassion, empathy, and care to those in need (1John. 3:18, James 1:22, Col 3.12, Psalm 112:4, 1 Peter 4:10, Zechariah 7:9-10, Proverbs 19:17, Psalm 82:3, Isaiah 1:17, Deuteronomy 15:11)

Nurture

Fostering an environment of biblical learning in our church community regarding the relationship between Jesus’ love for the vulnerable and our faith, lived out in daily life (Ephesians 2:8-10).
