The Wares had their last sabbatical rest in 2016, after their first 7 years of service, and now, it's time for them to take their next rest. Here’s a section of our sabbatical policy that explains why we provide this for our clergy families as a church:
Grace Anglican Church has made it a policy to "provide full-time pastoral staff and their families the opportunity for time away from the pastor’s regular duties for the purpose of rest, physical and spiritual refreshment (and, if the pastor so chooses, professional development). We understand sabbatical in the biblical context of the Sabbath, and so we offer sabbatical leave to ensure that our pastoral staff can recover vital energies; anticipating that at the end of sabbatical there will be renewed energy spiritual vision and effectiveness for gospel ministry.”
While they are away, we will be blessed by the leadership of four different pastors who will serve at Grace to provide Sunday leadership, preaching, pastoral care, and staff support. Our music will be led by a combination of local parishioners and visiting music leaders.
We
are so blessed to have these wonderful leaders serving us at the church
during this time. Our existing staff and vestry will also be here to
support you!
